Look what I made!

I was inspired by the cute little bottle cap pin cushion Vickie from  A Stitcher's Story sent me.  I wanted to learn how to do it too.  So I looked up a great tutorial {HERE} and spent a good part of my day making this.............

You all know I am a big fan of anything patriotic so that was my theme for today. Masterchief donated some of his BB's so I could put them in the bottle cap to give it some weight before I attached the top part.

Today was the first time I have ever done the blanket stitch.  I always wanted to learn how but for some reason never got around to it. Ya know what?  It's really not all that hard.  This pin cushion was also brought to you by the inspiration of Sweet Sue.  She sent me this back in 2010 for my birthday.  Isn't it cute?  (Thanks again my friend)

Thanks for looking at today's creation!
I appreciate your comments so very much.  They encourage me more than you know.

What a cute little pincushion! Love the colors of it too! I tried the blanket stitch for the first time for an exchange ornie, and it really wasn't that hard. Can't wait to stitch some more pieces, so I can do it again! Hugs!
