Rip-It...Rip-It...

I was going to leave it alone and continue on even after I saw the stupid thing I did.  I'm all about embracing my mistakes and working with them but this one was really bugging me.

The words are supposed to be a different color than the diamond design in the center.  This chart only calls for two colors in the whole thing.  You'd think I could handle that!

It had to go.  I wish I could stitch as fast as I can rip. I was a crazy brave little stitcher and used my seam ripper to do it!

I have had this jar for about two years now.  I just keep mashing the threads down in there.  I think I'll need to search for another jar soon though.  Hmmm...maybe Masterchief will let me use one of his Ball jars.

So that's done.....now I will put it away for a bit and get busy on this.....................

Remember this one?  It's ABC Tapestry by Rosewood Manor.  I need to get serious on it this Winter.

Polly is ready for Christmas.
Polly and I have been together for almost 40 years now.  I have a bunch of my other dolls but Polly was always my favorite.

Lastly, I made this tonight with some of the corks that I have in crocks and jars around here.  And yes...I drank every drop but it took me a few years to do it!

It's getting hard to keep my eyes open tonight so I'll say goodnight now.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet dreams,
~~Peggy Lee

I probably would have ripped the diamonds and just switched the colors. You are better than I. Polly does look cute.

I know how it is when you just can't 'let it go' but I, too, would have probably changed the diamonds. Are you using a stand or just the frame for the ABC Tapestry? I seem to remember the stand... Cute use of those popped corks!

diamonds here too. IN A HEART BEAT .
Funny how we are when it comes to knowing there is a mistake and taking care of that mistake. Really, would a man on a horse riding past your front window really know if you switched the colours?
I DOOOOON'T THINK SOOOOO.
Those corks are pretty cool too and I see you like the reds.
Be always in stitches.

That must have been so hard to do! That's a lot of stitching on ABC Tapestry, but it's going to be gorgeous. :)

Good for you! I know you hated to do it--but how much better do you feel now? And think about when it's framed--you'll always look at it and think "boy am I glad I ripped that out!" Well done.

Oh noes! Frogging! I usually can't let the mistakes slide and I would frog too. That linen color is fabulous! And great progress on the ABC Tapestry!

Oh no!! So glad you went for the ripper and not the shredder!!!
Glad to see that Polly is all decked out and ready for the holidays! Your cork "R" looks good!

I'm another person that would have just swapped out the diamonds, but you gotta do what your heart is telling you. I'll have to borrow your seam ripper technique. I'm not the fastest stitcher in the world, but it still takes me longer to rip out than it does to actually stitch.

Oh no! At least the problem has been fixed, so that when you do pick it up again, you can start afresh.
