I GIVE UP!! I'm hitting the bottle.....

A bottle of wine, that is.  I can't seem to win with this pattern by La D Da.

I had all of the alphabet stitched and started on the border when all of the sudden......the border met the letters where there is supposed to be a gap of two spaces!!  I wanted to scream.  So.....I ripped some of the letters and the border out and I'm putting it away until tomorrow, maybe.

Hope your evening is going better than mine.  I'm off to enjoy a nice glass of strawberry rhubarb wine now.

I put things away when I encounter problems too! Sometimes they are gone for months or even years!! I think I won't be buying that pattern anytime soon! Hugs.

Don't you hate when borders to that? I think it's very mean of them. I put things away when they do that too.

I had that happen to me on a Teresa Wentzler piece years ago. I got so frustrated that I took out enough that I could just trim it off and use the linen for other projects. Now , if it happens three times, that's it, I'm done!

Wish I was there to join you in a glass of wine. Guess I'll have to settle for hot chocolate or coffee. Ice cream keeps calling to me from the freezer but it's too cold for that. My son just came down and said we're going to get 12" of snow tomorrow. We already have snow an sleet. Blowing like crazy, too.

I love that pattern! I'm so sorry you are having such trouble. Just step back and take a breath before you start up again. And if you decide to really "give it up" I'd be happy to take a go at stitching that pattern!

Why, why, why do these designs that SEEM simple give us such counting headaches? It's a good idea to put it away tonight. It's clearly meant to be stitched another day!

Aww. Too bad.
Just put it out of sight and stitch on something more fun.

Just put it away and drink your winw. That's more fun anyway.

Egads, so sorry. I can tell you though I have had that happen more times then I like, over the years. I think the next time will be the charm and everything will work out for you. It is adorable and I know will look great framed and on your wall.

Just wanted you to know I am a bit later in mailing that 'something' to you, but it is on it's way now, so be checking the ole mailbox in a couple of days!:)

Have a super week, regardless of the frogging!

That is just the pits!! So sorry, hope that it all works out when you pick it up again. It is such a pretty pattern.

Oh my! Seems like you need to rid your house of the frogs! Perhaps an exorcism is in order!

I love your idea of taking a break though - cheers!

I think it is a frame of mind when we choose the designs we think will be easier to work up... but this one is one of my favorites and I may just have to do it onebday...Maybe I will purchase a frog charm to add to it just for giggles.
Be always with shovels, wooops I mean stitches

Isnt it always that the pattern that look quick and easy always are such a headache? I had to rip out so much on my latest project, and yet it is so easy and simple, all one colour..how messed up can that get? lol...well apparently a lot...I guess it helps when one could count properly.....glad you hitting the bottle afterwards...or did you before and that's why this happened? lol

Oh dear, this design seems to be testing your patience :) Keep with it Peggy, after a little break of course, you know it will turn out great in the end. Enjoy your wine! :)

Sorry to hear that you are having so many problems with this design. Put it away for a week or so and then come back to it later.
