Life is ROUGH!!

To crawl out of bed whenever you feel like it......
To ask the love of your life lying next to you, "who wants to make the coffee?"........
To think....hmmmmm, what shall we do today?
Yes...this is the life girls.
It's ROUGH, but somebody's gotta do it!

Went for my walk this morning. Took the camera. Here's a quick one of Momma and her new baby.

Came home. Made blueberry muffins.

Waiting until noon to lay out in the sun. No pics of this. You're welcome.

What's this world coming to when a guy has to take his own britches off the line?
Oh after you're done with that Dear....would you pour me a glass of wine?

He will be the first to tell you he thinks this is women's work but just for me he tried to look the part.................
I must admit I am the luckiest girl alive! He lives and breathes to please me and I don't know what I did to deserve him. I only hope I make him as happy as he has made me!

Enough gush......here's a couple things I picked up at yard sales today........

This Sampler Motif book by Brenda Keyes was only $1. I love these old sewing baskets and the pillow has APPLES on it! I like apple stuff!

This pic shows another scissor frog I picked up at an antique mall. I also bought the sherbet cup there....it fit perfectly.

Here's the latest progress on ABC Tapestry. I got the border on the D block finished and one little "d" at the bottom stitched. I don't think I mentioned this before but I am using NPI silks #852 for this. It's called "Hodgepodge Range". It is a very dark blue.

When I get tired of working on ABC Tapestry I get this sampler out of my basket to stitch on for a bit. It's Hannelore Orkis's Saxon Sampler. I found it in the June 1989 issue of Just Cross Stitch. I'm stitching it on an unknown 40ct. linen with 2....yes....I said TWO strands of the recommended DMC floss. I don't know what I was thinking. I probably only should have used one strand but what then would I do when it calls to blend two colors together?

Here's a snap of the finished piece pictured in the magazine......

Masterchief and I hope you ALL have a very SAFE and ENJOYABLE holiday weekend.
Let's not forgot the sacrifices made for the freedoms we now have.

OH...almost forgot to mention...when I got home from yard sale chasing, Masterchief had all the dishes done and the kitchen looked maaahvelous!
Sorry ladies....HE'S MINE!!
Yes...life is rough.

Does Masterchief have a brother? Nevermind that I am already married. LOL Great treasure finds - love the apple pillow. I hope you have a safe and happy 4th!

You are a fast stitcher!
Lovely progress and I'm with you on rolling out of the bed at whatever time....but staycations is the only time I can do that...it's so nice though.
Your blog is lovely by the way......

Greetings from the UK! I have just read all your blog posts and I love your blogging style because it's so warm and friendly. I was just wondering if you could help me get a few more followers, like you have successfully done yourself. I'd like to know your secret! I'm a newbie blogger too, and I haven't really been stitching that long, but I really enjoy reading blogs and looking at all the talent - including yours! If you could pop by my blog, that would be very kind.
Happy Stitching!

Very interesting about your thread choice-love seeing that one coming along. I also am in love with your JBW apple finish. That other WiP is also really nice--I think If I were stitching it I'd leave off the uppercase alphabet and make it a more "square" shape. Both would be nice, though. You and DH seem to be having a good life lately. :D
